If employees are required to wear special work clothes, an employer must ensure that employees can change in a suitable changing room. For the time being, it has been determined that a separate room for men and women must be allocated for this. These changing rooms should be located as close as possible to the actual workplace.

The Working Conditions Decree states the following about this:

article 3.22. Changing rooms, valid from 01-01-2021 to today

• Every employee has a place to hang his clothes.
• For employees who have to wear special work clothes, appropriate, sufficiently spacious, with chairs or benches and separated according to sexes are available; these spaces are located as close as possible to the open or enclosed spaces where the work usually takes place. Wet work clothes can be dried if necessary.
• In the changing rooms, clothes not worn by employees during work can be stored in an effective manner and closed.
• If the circumstances so require, the special work clothes and the personal clothes of the employees can be separated from each other, stored effectively and securely.

An industrial washing and changing room should be a pleasant and safe environment for employees who have to wear special work clothes during their work. Freedom of movement, overview, light and cleanliness are important factors that promote the user-friendliness, safety and durability of the changing room. Mylocker app, very useful!

With the Mylocker app, the user can closely monitor what happens to his/her locker. The system informs the user via the app about all kinds of things, such as alerts, the time remaining for locker use, packages delivered and to be collected, etc. A user can of course also simply claim an available locker or open a locker.
